How to extend the life of your salon manicure!

For those of you who aren't sold on the soak off gel polishes like CND Shellac and Gelish, here are some tips on how to extend the life of your salon manicure.
1. Have your nail professional apply a top coat that is not quick drying like CND Super Shiney. A quick dry top coat may get you out the door faster, but will not extend the life of your manicure. Instead, apply OPI Drip Dry Drops which will help your polish and top coat to dry faster.

2. Wear your gloves! When washing dishes or doing household cleaning, wear gloves. Soaking your hands in water or cleaning soloutions can break down polish or cause your nails to expand which will lead to premature chipping.
3. Moisturize nails and hands daily with CND SolarOil and CND Almond Hydrating Lotion. SolarOil mimics our bodies natural oils and will penetrate the skin and nail easily. Mineral Oil not allowed!

4. Freshen up your top coat every other day. We love CND Speedy. Its thin, easy to apply, and quick drying. Make sure you don't apply your top coat within a short period of time before or after your oil and lotion application.

5. Buy a tool set! Never use your nails as tools. Don't scrape something off of the counter or try to pick at something with your manicured nails. That's a sure fire way to chip your polish.
